Description

The lay counsellor needs to know something of business if he is going to counsel
businessmen.
Businessmen are of two main types: Those who are self-starters (self-motivated)
or those who need to be instructed as others have made them what they are.
This course is for both types of person, who can take it and learn as much about business and the running of a business. Those who are self-starters go into business because they want to. The other does not want to but is forced by circumstances, of whatever nature, into business and needs to study or be taught their business. Perhaps they lose a job and cannot find one? Perhaps they have inherited money and are advised to start a business? Perhaps they have married someone, who is in a business
and then, because of their married circumstances, are pushed unwillingly into the
business themselves.
The business counsellor, on the other hand, is someone who not only knows
business but may be in business themselves.
This course will help anyone who wants to know more about running a business
and/or counselling businessman.
The lay counsellor may have studied at a tertiary institution and just wants to
know about counselling to decide if they wish to take up business counselling as a
career.
Whatever the reason, business truths remain and are useful to anyone wanting to
know more about business problems and solutions that may arise in business.
