According to the Old and New Testaments, God wishes to set up His kingdom that will continue for one thousand years. Hitler thought God chose him to do just that by trying to conquer many parts of Europe and then turning against Russia. He wrote a book called Mein Kampf, in which he declared his intention to rule the world. He failed miserably, even after creating great havoc among the nations of Europe and trying to overcome England as well. Germany was defeated in this war, with many of its cities destroyed.
